Plaid Menagerie

Bob Wachunas grew up in Albany, NY and began playing music gigs in high school in the late 1980s, where he sang and played bass in the church choir. 

Bob has played in a number of rock, funk, and experimental bands in Boston, New York City, San Francisco, Sedona, and Santa Rosa.

A singer/songwriter multi-instrumentalist who also builds and plays ukuleles, banjos, and percussion instruments, his musical styles include traditional Celtic, Funk, Bebop Jazz, Afro-Beat, Electronic, Fusion, Ska, and Reggae. 

Bob is the founder of Arizona Dunun Ensemble which performed traditional West African drum, song, and dance from 2010 through 2014. 

Bob has settled in the Bay area and joined Plaid Menagerie as the group's drummer in 2019.
